Turtle Bay Association Volunteer Opportunities
- Communications – help with social media, website updates, article writing, graphic design, proofreading
Events – assist with planning and execution of various TBA events including our annual Valentine’s Party, Taste of Turtle Bay, Happy Hours and Street Fair. Solicit area businesses for merchandise or gift card donations for raffles and auctions. Solicit area businesses to host a TBA event, or participate as a vendor at one of our events. - Hospitality – man the check-in table at various TBA events / activities such as the Valentine’s party or the Street Fair
- Membership – network with area businesses to retain and attract new business members, periodic help with any mailings
- Parks – help with various “It’s My Park” type events at Detmold Park and elsewhere in the Turtle Bay area
- Photography – we can always use more photos of our events and our neighborhood!
- Quality of Life / Safety – attend area meetings such 17th Precinct Community Council as a TBA representative. Help to keep TBA up-to-date on items of importance in our area in terms of quality of life, sanitation, police activity, etc.
- Zoning / Land Use / Landmarks – attend area meetings such as Community Board 6, City Planning Commission meetings, etc. as a TBA representative. Help to keep TBA up-to-date on items of importance in our area in terms of new construction, licensing, landmark designations, transportations, etc.
