Dear Residents,
There have been several recent instances of residents of the community becoming victims of various phone scams. We want to raise awareness of these scams and remind our residents that Law Enforcement/other government agencies will never demand money for bail, legal fees or unpaid taxes over the phone. A lot of times, the scam involves having the victim purchase gift cards and provide the serial numbers over the phone. We have also see instances of the criminals demanding cash and sending a courier to the victim’s building in order to collect this cash.
