An elegant celebration was held at Japan Society on December 4, 2019 to mark the 20th Anniversary of Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. Many members from the NYC Parks Department attended the celebration. Ben Kallos, Council Member and Sara Newman from Council Member Keith Powers office presented Sherrill Kazan, President of Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza a proclamation congratulating them on 20 years of service by keeping the Plaza and the Katherine Hepburn Gardens a clean, green and safe space for all members of the community to enjoy.
